91 West Skatepark
Peoria, Arizona, USA.
91 West is a relatively new, private, indoor skatepark in Peoria, Arizona, a western suburb of Phoenix. Located within minutes of the Loop 101 (take the Northern Ave. exit), it's in a large office/warehouse complex. The park is small, but very well-built; the use of Skatelite to create a brick-like texture on some of the hips and corners is novel, neat, and unique. The staff is friendly, the park is clean, the water fountains feature really cold water, there's a snack bar on site, the couches in the relax-room are comfortable, and... best of all... it's air-conditioned.
Rates are as follows: $15 for a 3-hour session; $25 for all day; and there's a $99 per month membership for unlimited skating. Private and group lessons are available; this park is super kid-friendly. My favorite part of the park was the 3' x 12' wide micro-ramp; it's fast, fun, and easy to learn new tricks on. -Bud Stratford, Concrete Wave Magazine/Concrete Disciples; Monday, September 26th, 2016.
